These terms govern your use of the LevelUp Controllers website and our repair, upgrade, mod, and accessory services. By booking work or using this site, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
LevelUp Controllers (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides controller repair, upgrades, custom mods, and related services from 10 Hanepoot Crescent, Sonstraal, Durbanville, South Africa. Contact: levelupcontrollers100@gmail.com · 061 647 5781 · contact page.
2. Services
We repair and upgrade game controllers (including PlayStation and Xbox models), install mods such as back buttons and clicky triggers, and may offer accessories or 3D-printed parts as described on this site. Service availability depends on your controller model, parts stock, and bench capacity.
Published prices are guides. Final pricing is confirmed after diagnostics because faults, parts, and labour can vary. Work starts after you approve the quote (or the agreed scope if you already approved a fixed job).
3. Booking, diagnostics & approval
- You must provide accurate details about the controller model, symptoms, and contact information.
- We diagnose on intake. Diagnostics help us quote honestly; they do not guarantee a repair is possible or economical.
- If you decline repair after diagnostics, we may still charge a diagnostic or handling fee if we told you one applies.
- We may refuse work that is unsafe, uneconomical, or outside our capabilities.
4. Drop-off & mail-in
Local drop-off is welcome at our Durbanville address during posted hours. Mail-in is available nationwide across South Africa.
- You are responsible for packing and shipping the controller to us. Use adequate protection and, where sensible, tracking and insurance.
- Risk of loss or damage in transit to us sits with you unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
- Return shipping arrangements and costs will be confirmed when your job is ready (pickup, courier you arrange, or a return option we offer).
- We are not liable for courier delays outside our control.
5. Payment
Payment is due as agreed when you book or when work is completed—typically before return of the controller. We may withhold release of the device until payment is received in full. Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
6. Warranty
We stand behind workmanship and parts we fit. As advertised on the site, common repair work includes a six-month repair warranty on workmanship and fitted parts, unless your invoice or booking confirmation states different cover for that specific job.
- Warranty covers defects in our workmanship and failure of parts we installed, under normal use.
- It does not cover unrelated faults, physical damage after return, liquid damage, misuse, further modification by others, normal wear of components we did not fit, or issues that existed outside the approved scope of work.
- Warranty details for your job are those on your invoice or written confirmation—ask when you book if you need them upfront.
7. Your property & abandoned controllers
We take reasonable care of controllers while they are with us. You remain the owner. If a controller is left uncollected or return shipping is not arranged after we notify you that the job is ready, we may charge storage and, after a reasonable period of notice (at least 60 days from our ready notice), treat the device as abandoned and dispose of or recycle it as we see fit. Outstanding balances remain payable.
8. Website tools (board check, test inputs, calibrate sticks)
Optional browser tools on this site (for example WebHID board detection, input testing, and stick calibration) run in your browser on your device. They are provided free of charge, without warranty, and at your own risk. They are not affiliated with Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, or related brands. Permanent calibration or firmware-related actions can alter your controller; follow on-screen warnings. We are not liable for damage arising from use of these tools.
9. Intellectual property & brands
Site content, branding, and materials belong to LevelUp Controllers or our licensors. PlayStation, DualSense, Xbox, Nintendo, and other marks belong to their respective owners; we are an independent repair and mod service and are not endorsed by those companies unless we say otherwise.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies), we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost game progress, competitive results, or data). Our total liability for a given job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, except where liability cannot be limited by law (for example death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).
11. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or booking new work after a change means you accept the updated terms for that use or booking.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without limiting any non-excludable consumer rights you may have.
